As a Technician - Telecommunications with the Department of National Defence, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications systems and equipment that keep our defence and security operations connected. Your responsibilities include performing installation and maintenance work on telecommunications equipment, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, testing systems to ensure proper functionality, and documenting all work performed. You'll collaborate with other IT professionals, follow established procedures and safety protocols, and may supervise junior technicians or coordinate with external service providers. Work is performed in various environments including office settings, equipment rooms, and field locations, and may occasionally require shift work or on-call support depending on operational needs.
