As a Real Estate Services Policy Analyst, you will develop, analyze, and implement policies that guide the management of federal real property assets. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across Defence and other government departments to ensure real estate strategies align with organizational priorities and Treasury Board directives. Your role involves researching best practices, evaluating policy options, and providing evidence-based recommendations to senior management on matters affecting real property acquisition, disposition, utilization, and sustainability.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing existing policies for effectiveness, drafting new policy instruments, conducting consultations with internal and external partners, and monitoring compliance with real estate management standards. You will analyze complex data sets related to property portfolios, prepare briefing documents for decision-makers, and support the implementation of approved policies across Defence operations. You will work in a collaborative office environment within Defence and National Defence headquarters or regional offices. You may occasionally travel to visit properties or attend stakeholder meetings, and increasingly, parts of this role can be performed remotely.
