As a Rapid Prototyping Specialist with the Department of National Defence, you will design, develop, and test artificial intelligence solutions that support defence and security operations. Training
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline. A bachelor's degree in one of these fields is typically required; a master's degree in AI, machine learning, data science, or software engineering is an asset.
Technical proficiency is essential. You should be skilled in at least one programming language (such as Python, Java, or C++), familiar with machine learning frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn), and experienced with version control systems and agile development practices. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly valued.
