As a Painter with the Department of National Defence, you will be responsible for preparing, protecting, and painting surfaces on a wide variety of military facilities, equipment, and infrastructure across Canada. Your day-to-day responsibilities include surface preparation such as scraping, sanding, and cleaning; applying primers and finishing coats; operating spray painting equipment; and inspecting completed work for quality and adherence to specifications. You will work both indoors and outdoors in diverse environments including hangars, barracks, workshops, and field locations. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to environmental regulations.
