As a Mechanical Services Inspector with the Department of National Defence, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of mechanical systems and equipment across our defence infrastructure. You will conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations of mechanical installations, machinery, and related systems to verify they meet established standards, regulations, and operational requirements. Your work directly supports the operational readiness of Canadian Armed Forces bases and facilities by identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
Your responsibilities will include performing detailed inspections of mechanical equipment such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, hydraulic systems, engines, and other machinery. You will document findings, prepare inspection reports, and communicate results to maintenance teams and facility managers. You may also be called upon to investigate equipment failures, recommend repairs or replacements, and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
