Overview

As a Manager - Instruction for Special Populations, you lead the planning, development, and delivery of educational programs tailored to learners with diverse needs. You oversee instructional staff, curriculum design, and learning outcomes while ensuring inclusive and accessible education that meets each learner's goals. This role bridges education and human development, creating meaningful learning experiences for populations including adult learners, learners with disabilities, and those requiring specialized training support. Your responsibilities include managing instructional teams, developing and evaluating educational content, ensuring quality standards are met, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand learner needs. You monitor program effectiveness, allocate resources, and implement continuous improvements to enhance learning outcomes. You also mentor instructors, support their professional development, and create an inclusive work environment that reflects diverse perspectives. You work in educational institutions, training centers, or specialized learning environments within the Department of National Defence. You interact regularly with learners, instructors, administrative staff, and external partners. Your work contributes directly to building a skilled, inclusive workforce and advancing the department's commitment to supporting all employees and personnel.
