Overview

As a Manager - Emergency Management, you'll lead the planning, coordination, and response to emergency situations within Department of National Defence operations. You're responsible for developing and implementing emergency management policies, procedures, and protocols that protect personnel, assets, and operational continuity. Working in a dynamic environment, you'll manage teams of emergency management professionals, coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies, and ensure DND meets federal emergency preparedness standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing emergency response plans, conducting risk assessments, coordinating training and exercises, and managing resource allocation during crisis situations. You'll work collaboratively across multiple departments, civilian agencies, and military commands to ensure integrated emergency response capabilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, crisis management experience, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
