Gas Fitters install, maintain, and repair gas piping systems, appliances, and related equipment in Department of National Defence facilities across Canada. Working in this skilled trade, you'll ensure the safe and efficient operation of natural gas, propane, and other gas systems that support military operations and infrastructure. Your work is critical to maintaining safe working environments for Canadian Armed Forces members and civilian employees.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include reading blueprints and technical drawings, assembling and installing gas piping and fittings, performing pressure tests and safety inspections, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and maintaining detailed records of all work completed.
