As an Emerging Technology Analyst with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, you will play a critical role in helping the Department of National Defence understand, evaluate, and integrate AI technologies into defence and security operations. You will analyze emerging AI capabilities, assess their potential applications, and provide strategic recommendations to support decision-makers across the organization. This role combines technical knowledge with strategic thinking to ensure Canada's defence sector leverages AI responsibly and effectively.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include researching and monitoring AI developments in both the public and private sectors, conducting feasibility studies on AI implementation, identifying opportunities and risks associated with new technologies, and collaborating with stakeholders across DND to understand their operational needs. You will prepare reports, briefing materials, and recommendations for senior leadership, and participate in working groups focused on AI strategy and governance.
