Lateral moves from related fields such as project management, business analysis, operations, or strategic planning are common pathways. If you have relevant experience in the private sector or other levels of government, you may qualify for equivalency assessments that recognize your expertise. Part-Time Options

Remote work is increasingly available for program management professionals, particularly for roles focused on analysis, planning, and coordination. However, your ability to work remotely may depend on the specific program requirements, security classifications, and departmental operational needs.
