As a Crane Operator with the Department of National Defence, you will operate and maintain mobile and tower cranes used in construction, maintenance, and operational activities across DND facilities and projects. Training
To qualify as a Crane Operator, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent (secondary school completion). Once hired with DND, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training specific to Department equipment and procedures. These may include advanced crane operation techniques, load calculation and rigging, and equipment-specific certifications.
