Chemical Engineering Technicians support the design, development, testing, and implementation of chemical processes and products for the Department of National Defence. Working under the direction of Chemical Engineers and senior technical staff, you'll contribute to military capabilities through work on propellants, explosives, fuels, water treatment systems, and other chemical-related defence applications. Your technical expertise ensures that chemical systems meet strict safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
In this role, you'll perform laboratory and field testing, maintain and calibrate specialized equipment, collect and analyze samples, prepare technical reports, and assist in troubleshooting chemical processes. You may work in laboratories, manufacturing facilities, or field environments depending on your assignment. You'll collaborate with engineers, scientists, and other technicians to solve complex technical problems and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Training
Education: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (Secondary V in Quebec).
