Overview

Continuing professional development is encouraged and may include specialized training in hazardous materials management, explosives safety, environmental engineering, project management, and emerging chemical technologies. DND supports professional memberships with organizations such as Professional Engineers Canada (PEC) and the Canadian Society of Chemical Engineers. Security clearance training and defence-specific courses may be required depending on the assignment.
