Aircraft Inspectors play a critical role in ensuring the safety and airworthiness of military aircraft operated by the Department of National Defence. You will conduct detailed inspections, maintenance reviews, and quality assurance checks on aircraft components, systems, and structures to identify defects, wear, and non-compliance with regulatory standards. Your work directly contributes to flight safety and operational readiness across the Canadian Armed Forces.
In this role, you will work as part of maintenance teams at air bases and aircraft facilities across Canada. You will examine aircraft before and after flights, review maintenance records, perform functional tests on aircraft systems, and prepare detailed inspection reports. You may specialize in different aircraft types such as transport, helicopter, or fighter aircraft, depending on posting locations and operational requirements.
The work environment is dynamic and safety-focused. You will work both indoors in maintenance hangars and outdoors on flight lines, often in varying weather conditions. This position requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to work under established safety protocols. Training
