As an Advisor - Diversity, Inclusion and Employment Equity, you will play a key role in advancing human resources initiatives that promote fairness, respect, and opportunity across the Department of National Defence. You will provide expert advice and support to managers and leaders on diversity and inclusion strategies, employment equity programs, and related policies. Your work will directly contribute to creating a more inclusive workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute their best.
In this role, you will develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives, analyze employment equity data to identify trends and gaps, and provide guidance on inclusive recruitment and retention practices. You will collaborate with HR teams, managers, and employee resource groups to build awareness and support for diversity initiatives. You will also monitor compliance with employment equity legislation and Treasury Board directives, and prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment within DND's Human Resources branch. Training

Once hired, you will receive training on Government of Canada policies, DND-specific procedures, and applicable legislation including the Canadian Human Rights Act and Employment Equity Act.
